16 Best Toiletries Bags Tested and Reviewed (2025)
Other good toiletry bags
There were some great bags we tried. However, although not perfect for us as everyone has the different things they’re looking for in toiletry bags, some of these options may still be perfect for you.

$85 Calpak Clear Cosmetics Case: Mainly composed of water-resistant wipe clean PVC, this clear cosmetic case (I tested the medium size) is all round and folded flat, with two zipper compartments and one small zipper mesh bag Displays. It also looks like a cute wallet with 16 trendy color options, dual handles and metal bottom studs. However, the contents are not as simple as other cosmetic cases that open from above. To open the CalPak flat on both sides, you need a 16 x 10 inch footprint, and everything is clear. Construction is not too modest.

Nex Dop for $75: Part of the Nex dop kit I tested 2024 Hawaii CollectionIt consisted of a spacious single compartment with dual zipper strips. They are made from microfiber leather, a high quality synthetic leather, and are said to be softer and more durable. The bag was stiff and well structured, which protected my cosmetics when they got stuck on carry-on. Microfiber leather has a slight synthetic smell. This is hard to overlook. Because you have to tilt your face closer to the bag to see the contents of a single spongy compartment. Also, when the bag was thawed, the zippered strip felt in the way or had to be spread out. Otherwise, this is a great option offering both a lifetime warranty and an unlimited trade-in program.
State Bags Benson Toyreatry Kit $68: This is a solid and simple bag with three mesh pouches and snap-in/snap-out plastic envelopes that can hold shower items like toothbrushes, toothpaste or soap. I liked the navy version I tested with the appearance and interior of a coated polyester wipe clean made from recycled bottles, and the option to hang. However, the organization was more rudimentary than the similar categories of bags we tested, missing some of the thoughtful details featured in other bags in the same price range. Tips to prevent slipping. (The thick, small plastic hooks on this bag were not even wide enough to hang down on a towel rack.)
Hang your toiletry bag for $85 in July: I own and love Carry-on suitcase for JulySo I was excited to try out the brand’s popular hanging toiletry bags. In addition to the fantastic design with a zippered pouch on the back, it also zips flat to reveal the PVC and pouch zip compartments, showing a large rubber metal hook. It’s well made with leather trim and gunmetal hardware and looks stylish, but my husband took it on a business trip and the pockets are actually very small, confirming the worries he has when testing in his bathroom at home I did. It’s not a problem if the bag itself is small, but it took up a quarter of what it was carrying on board.
$55 Fjallraven Kanken Toyreatry Bag: I love this and make me feel like a Red Cross nurse on the battlefield of World War II. It is made from a unique fjallraven fabric blend that combines organic cotton with recycled polyester, making it feel like a fabric, but it is more waterproof and durable. It has a clamshell design with sturdy interior plastic hooks. The quart bag in the bottle fits in a huge lower zip compartment, a toothbrush and deodorant in the top compartment, with mesh pockets and mol webbing to make small items look easy. However, its dimensions are so large that if you’re a minimalist with just a toothbrush and comb, this may not be for you. – Adrienne So
$75 Sympl DOP Kit: I liked the durable Cordura exterior and hanging clips of this bag, and the fact that it has a lifetime warranty. The bag opens a clamshell style and reveals four simple waterproof zip pockets. Two thin and horizontal, one small rectangle, one large rectangle. It’s an interesting idea, but this strictly limits the utility, as the user is actually limited to certain toiletry sized products that fit the shape of each pocket. (My deodorant didn’t fit, and there was no toothbrush in the case.)
Lululemon Command Day Dopp kit costs $48: This simple, repeatable canvas bag has an attractive unisex design (only black). Made from recycled polyester, we love how spacious bottom mesh compartments can hold full size products. However, the bag does not hang down, hang down to place it flat, or sit on its own, forcing it to take up a considerable (about 8.5 x 11 inches) footprint on the counter. I also found myself frustrated with multiple opportunities to try and access toiletries during the test period, especially when the mesh compartment is low. This compartment must be open, closed and closed for access. Also, items are deployed frequently because the bags cannot be laid flat.
