3 Portland protests were arrested after becoming violent in a federal ice building

Multiple mobs Portland, Oregonwas arrested Saturday night after a planned protest descended on a riot near an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Facility (ICE) facility, injuring four officers.

Three people have been arrested after officers responded to “criminal conduct” happening near the federal building in the South Portland area. Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said in a press release early on Sunday.

“The arrests focused strictly on criminal conduct, not constitutionally protected freedom of speech,” the PPB said. “Individuals who engage in violent activities or property destruction will be investigated and subject to arrest and prosecution.”

The riot came after the city held a “No Kings” protest at 1 p.m. Authorities labelled it as a “large free speech gathering,” in which tens of thousands of people march at demonstrations.

The governor warns anti-Trump “king” protesters to be violent: “You’ll be arrested.”

According to the PPB, police responded to the federal facility before 6pm and immediately after learning that the federal officer had been injured by the crowd. PPB told the crowd that a medical event was reported during the event Ice facilitieswarning the crowd not to interfere with medical response.

Police learned that once the situation stabilized, officers would not need medical treatment for federal officers.

The PPB subsequently declared a riot for ongoing criminal conduct in the area.

Homeland Security Advisor Tricia McLaughlin Talking to Fox News Digital On Saturday, mobs launched fireworks, fired smoked rena bullets, threw rocks at federal law enforcement, smashed glass, and forced into ice facilities.

Fox News Digital reported earlier that federal law enforcement was able to secure the facility, but four officers were injured during the attack.

PPB said 25-year-old Sabian Crisantos was arrested shortly after 8pm Attempt to assault The public security officer.

Tyson Kerner, 20, was arrested around 10:50pm after police saw a man throwing rocks into an ice building, the PPB said. Kanath was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of attempted assault by a public security officer, two counts of harassment, intervening with a peace officer and a third time escape.

Cory Oyen, 38, was arrested around 1am Sunday and found himself picked up traffic controls around him and put them in a truck, PPB said. Police said Oyen was arrested for first-degree theft and driving under the influence of poisoning substances.

All three were booked at Multnomah County Detention Center.

Police noted that more arrests could be made as the investigation continues.

“Just because no arrests have been made at the scene, when tensions are high, that doesn’t mean people will not be charged with a crime later,” the PPB said.
