San Francisco 49ers A scary scene unfolded at training camp on Sunday after the collision occurred, but the player was taken to the hospital.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan Defensive Taron Jackson announced he was hospitalized after the crash. He was conscious and motionless in his limbs, but was taken to Stanford Hospital for evaluation.

The reporter, watching the practice, hit the ground hard after the scene unfolds and Jackson was blocked and not awake. The trainer went out to check on him, and a few minutes later he was placed on the backboard and off the field.

Jackson is a player looking to win a spot on the 49ers roster that enters training camp. He joined their practice team on a one-year $1.1 million deal.

But Jackson’s injuries now leave an opportunity to air the roster of 53.

Jackson will play his fourth time NFL season If he’s on the field. He was the Philadelphia Eagles’ sixth pick in 2021 and played 21 games for the franchise after an incredible career in Coast Carolina.

Jackson’s production was off the bench. He collected over 17 games of tackles and one bag in his rookie year. He saw just four appearances in 2022 before being abandoned by the franchise mid-season.

He joined the Eagles practice team and remained there throughout the 2023 season. Then in 2024, the Carolina Panthers called and Jackson signed them.

He continued to play three games for Carolina last season, with 28 defensive snaps and 21 special teams playing.

The 27-year-old was hoping to sign with San Francisco in January and impress him with what’s enough to win another team a spot that will come in week one.
