Some of the touchscreen gloves we tried didn’t reach the recommendation for some reason.

Marks and Spencer tied gloves for $18 or £10: My in-laws gift, these knitted gloves from Mark and Spencer, a reliable British retailer, are pretty good. They will keep your hands comfortable, but there are also special touchscreen pads at the tip of your index finger and thumb. You can wear these gloves and enter the appropriate swipe, tap and type reasonably.

Graphene-X All Rounder Bio-X Gloves are $119: With a classy look, high-tech graphene material on the back, plant-based bioleather for palms and fingers, these gloves are certainly unique. They are comfortable too, but they completely failed to keep my hands warm. The touchscreen material worked and there were no issues with tapping or swiping, but the fingertip bonding and square shape made it almost impossible to enter accurately.

Trendo Winter Gloves cost $15: These affordable gloves have hints on index fingers and thumbs that work with touchscreens, but the inner seams are difficult to type and make them a bit uncomfortable. They are slim so they are not particularly warm, but the finish is smooth and water resistant, with rubbery anti-slip dots on the palms and other fingers. When you take them off, I like the clips to snap them together.

Sealskinz cold cold gloves for $110: These gloves are rather warm and combine goat leather with middle layer and merino wool inside. The touchscreen features are limited to index finger and thumb, but I found it difficult to type with index finger to see where the bond is. It is not possible to enter quickly and accurately. The grip is very good, with the velcro straps for tight wrists that fit perfectly and allow you to clip the gloves together. But despite the name, they are too restrictive, too expensive and not completely waterproof.

Maybe you already have gloves other than the touchscreen you love, or you’ll just not fantasize about our pick. There are a few options worth considering.

stylus: It may seem like an old school, but with a stylus you can use your phone accurately without having to take off your gloves and it works with your smartphone or gloves. Bargain Depot B&D Universal Capacitive Stylus ($12) It worked well in our tests.

Hand Warmer: If you want to bravely spurt your cold gloless or use one of the thin picks above, we recommend waiting for a rechargeable hand warmer in your pocket. My favorite is VQ Rechargeable 10,000-MAH Power Bank Hand Warmer (£20)however, it is only available in the UK. People in the US can find a large number Similar options on Amazon.
