High Potential Amira J plays AVA, teases Cliffhenger

Tuesday night is missing one exceptionally hearted single mother after speeding up next week’s finale. However, fans of the ABC Show starring Kaitlin Olson can expect a second season of eye-catching outfits, witty comments and less generous mystery.

High possibility Morgan, a cleaning woman who becomes the leading crime consultant at the Los Angeles Police Department, applies her smarts to a stack of unsolved crimes. From famous murders to family whodunits, Karadec, a partner of 160 along with 160 IQs, has not been proven insurmountable for three moms.

The show also spends time with Morgan at home. There, key puzzles are bound by her personal life. Morgan agreed to support LAPD full-time, helping to find Rome, the father of her oldest child, played by Amirah J. Roman.

Ahead of the season 1 finale, CNET chatted about Amira J and her character, how they feel about the success of the show, and whether the finale reveals more about Roma. On the show, Ava is a rebellious, phone-taking child who has to navigate both her and her mother and sibling differences, who inherited the abilities of her missing father and Morgan.

Amira teased that future articles provide answers and cliff hangers. As for Ava’s dad, she hasn’t learned the entire story yet. “I really want to know what happened,” she said. “So I look forward to the story going on.”

High possibilities are based on the French series Haut Potentiel Intellectual. The season 1 finale will premiere on ABC at 9pm 9pm/9pm (PT/8pm) on February 11th, with a stream on Hulu on February 12th. The following interviews have been edited for clarity.

Q: How much do you think the difference between Ava and her family will affect her?
Amirah J: I think they’re very shocking to her. It feels like Ava is struggling to try to fit in with her family. She doesn’t seem to necessarily belong in a way. Because her younger brother has the abilities her mother has. There’s a ‘T. And she’s trying to navigate all these different things and find a way to fit her family. It’s extremely challenging for her.

Did the role teach you something amazing?
Ava taught me a lot. Honestly, she is very different from me in the way she grew up and in her family life. So it was so much fun trying to understand why she is and why certain things affect her in a certain way.

The premiere episode of High Potention achieved 20 million viewers over 35 days across the platform. It has been confirmed that it is back in season 2. What do you think about the success of the show? What should AVA have to do next season?
Honestly, it’s really crazy to see all the success the show is getting. Obviously, when you film the show, you want and want it to be a success and people love it, but seeing it actually happens is honestly overwhelming – It’s about looking at all the numbers and records that are broken. But I am very grateful to all the fans I watch and to everyone who supports the show by streaming it on Hulu.

I can’t wait to see Ava grow next season. And hopefully, as before her brother came, we learn more about her father’s loss and her childhood. I think it’s really great to understand such dynamics.

Why do you think people are connected to the show?
It doesn’t feel like it’s like many other detective crime shows. And I think each character is familiar in some way people can choose, “Oh, I’m related to this. I’m related to this.” I think it’s really cool to have such a diverse cast and a cast that has its own (life and storyline).

Audiences slowly reveal about the loss of Rome. Does the finale provide more answers to this ongoing mystery?
yes. But I think they’ll get some answers. But we must leave you hangers of the cliffs. We have to make it interesting… I really want to know what happened so I look forward to the story continuing.
