What is the Eldenling Night League and what is it?
The Eldenling Night League was a complete surprise when it was revealed in December. The Elden Ring spinoff combines the original action gameplay but is completely different for Software developers as it sprinkles on some Battle Royale mechanics.
Elden Ring Nightreign is so different from the original game, so there is confusion as to how the spinoff actually plays. Luckily, FromSoftware conducted network testing of the game in February to reveal what to expect when gamers jump into games.
When will the Eldenling Night Ligue appear?
Elden Ring Nightreign will be available on May 30, 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox series consoles for $40.
Do I need a copy of Eldenling to play?
No. Nightreign is a standalone adventure. However, it is best to spend time on Eldenling to get the feel of the game before the game comes out.
Should I play Elden Ring Nightreign online?

How does Eldenling work?
The player forms a team of three and chooses one of eight characters. So far, only four characters have been revealed during network testing in February. The Duchess is an assassin who keeps her stealthy and allows her to approach and deal significant damage to her enemies. Guardians are tanks with heavy armor and spears for long-range attacks. Recluse is a magical equipment player who can deal a lot of damage. And Wider is a versatile warrior with good defense. It is possible that four additional heroes will be revealed to be nearing release.
As a team, players are dropped on randomly generated maps scattered with enemies and treasures. Each match is a three-day cycle. They need to defeat enemies, level up, and find treasures to improve their equipment. As teams explore the map, the storm circle closes at different intervals during the day. This takes about 15 minutes. Players caught up in Storm Circle will see their health slowly deplete, similar to battle royale games like Fortnite.
When the Storm Circle closes, the team is led to the boss of the night. Once defeated, the second day begins with the same purpose as the first day. On the third day, the player faces off against the final boss of the match. During network testing it was Gladius, a three-wolf-like monster. Once the boss is defeated, the team can perform another match with the unlocked ability.
Does Elden Ring Nightreign play in a different way than Elden Ring?
a bit. The core action gameplay remains the same, but is much faster. Players can move faster and double jump to climb different areas. There is also a difference in leveling up. Instead of increasing certain stats, players simply level up, and various stats increase. Leveling takes place at the bounty site around the map.
How does the Eldenling Night Ligue story fit into the main game?
For now, there is no clear link to the legend of Eldenling. In fact, there are enemies in the game from another Software series, Dark Souls. Game director Junya Ishizaki has been confirmed December The game is a spin-off and is not linked to the Elden Ring Story. Still, there is a chance that researchers at Elden Ring Lore could find an interesting connection or two.
