Doge says the cost cuts have caused taxpayers to wobble, saving about $700 per person

More than 5,350 contracts have ended, savings totaling around $20 billion, but nearly 7,500 grants have been ruled out and scooped up $17 billion in savings, according to Doge.

Approximately 800 leases have been yanked, totaling over 10 million square feet, with $500 million lease savings being eliminated.

Doge was created by the President Donald Trump Through the executive order, he signed it on the day of inauguration. Under the order, Doge will become a temporary organization within the White House, spending 18 months until July 4th, 2026, carrying out its mission.
