Jessica Simpson is “very single” after Eric Johnson Splittt

Jessica Simpson returns to her musical roots and sheds light on her “broken” heart from her Divorce with Eric Johnson.

Simpson performed at the Luck Reunion Music Festival in Spicewood, Texas on Thursday. This was her first performance in 15 years. She announced she was “a very single woman” after splitting from Johnson in January.

Simpson was discussing her upcoming album, “Nashville Canyon, pt. 1” before she said: Page 6.

“I was in a very intuitive state and I was asking very personal questions on the home front, but I realized that my world was on the verge of an edge and life was very different. I am a very single woman,” she continued.

Simpson shared that opening your heart can leave you in a vulnerable place.

“You know, when we open our hearts, we can be vulnerable and it just breaks and maybe we forget that we’ve been broken for so long,” she said.

Simpson admitted that making music was a great way for her to heal.

“When we meet ourselves, when we write, when we sing, when we connect with ourselves, we find all the answers,” she said before releasing her new song, “Leave,” as a “broken heart, angry song.”

The fiery track lyrics seem to appeal to her ex.

“What we had was magic / Now you made it tragic / You gave her what you gave me / Now the well you drank from the empty,” Simpson sings.

In January, the actress and singer shared that the former couple “living separately,” but did not reveal details about their split timeline.

“Eric and I are navigating the painful circumstances of our marriage separately,” Simpson said in a statement. People Magazine.

Simpson and Johnson tied the knot in 2014, sharing their daughters Maxwell and Birdie and son Ace.

Johnson was discovered without a wedding ring in November as Simpson began working on a musical comeback.

In December, Simpson shared an attractive photo of herself sitting next to music gear while wearing a white romper paired with a black fishnet and platform boots that matched the midbow of the black fishnet.
