“Gwoat” Claressa Shields says Tank Davis “needs therapy”
by Frank Bay: In a recent interview, Clarissa Shields made the obvious impression of her best captain, saying that Gervonta “Tank” Davis needed help after a recent performance. It’s not your typical boxing advice, as maybe he needs a new trainer or needs to be more aggressive.
Shields admitted that he sought therapy during his boxing career, suggesting that it was something Gervonta needed. This is a very different kind of help. Seeking professional therapy can be considered a major weakness. The running gag for the show “The Sopranos” was that Tony Soprano was secretly undergoing treatment.
This is because if the mob knew Tony was talking to the therapist, he would be banged. For obvious reasons, he may be telling the secrets of the mob, but more importantly, it is seen as a weakness by men. This can be a death blow, especially in macho sports like boxing.
The fighter can hear the tank watching the shrinking, and I think he’s finished. But times have changed, and mental health is true. Ryan Garcia and Danny Garcia are fighters from the old and new eras that revealed they needed mental health help. In today’s age, seeking mental health help has become more acceptable not only to men in mainstream society, but also to men in ultra-macho sports like boxing.
Resignation talk
Clarissa is based on her opinion on hearing tank stories about retirement. Many fans, media members and people within the boxing industry have said that Tank Talking retirees are the red flags entering the Battle of Lamon Troach. Ryan Garcia also expressed his opinion that the tank retirement talk was the reason he lost.
Ryan felt that his retirement deep inside Tanks’s mind made him unable to hit the gear he needed when he was facing adversity. In sports like boxing, self-doubt can be the biggest obstacle for fighter jets. Not a mental health secret, Theofimo Lopez was once questioning himself after a lack of effort with Thunder Martin, becoming famous for listening to the camera “I still have it?”
People used this instantaneous indication of weakness by Lopez as a sign that he had no chance against Josh Taylor. I was watching how it unfolded. Fighters are expected to boast, boast, never admit that they question the ability to defeat fighters placed in front of them, even if they feel weak.
Without believing in oneself, fighters will never reach the top of the sport. They have a wealth of pride and ego. That’s also their biggest pitfall. They are too proud to ask for help when they need it.
Tank troubles
The shark is now swirling around Gerbonta after people and fighters witnessed the twisting of his armor. Tank has reached the top of the sport with its invincible aura. It was created and sold by other well-known invincible fighter Floyd Mayweather. However, Mayweather also had trouble getting in and out of the ring.
He had fragile hands and even spent time at his joints. It happens, but the most famous top fighters usually have trouble and illness while at the top. It’s difficult to name a fighter who was not in trouble during his reign. Manny Paccaio has been cancelled, Tyson Fury has a drug problem, Oscar needs rehab, and Sugar Ray Leonard has a drug abuse problem. Mike Tyson doesn’t need explanations.
When you are a man, it is difficult to keep clean and protect yourself from the downfall of life. Fame, money, women and all your new friends are the easiest way to lose sight of what’s out there.
Your God has given you the powers. And for the little 5’2 Gervonta Davis coming from the slums of Baltimore, he was born in dynamite with both fists. But Davis is no stranger to the law. Davis is fortunate to be a free man, given that he was involved in hit and run. Justice was given, and Tank went back to the ring and made a lot of money for many people.
Opinions are like a hole
Opinions make boxing great. But there are opinions based on facts and opinions based on stories, lies, or half-based. Tank Davis is a polarizing figure in the boxing community. But I’ll give you facts, Tank Davis is a star, he puts his butt in his seat and attracts media and social media attention.
He was half of his last megaboxing PPV when he defeated Ryan Garcia. That’s true. The PPV is the opinion that Ryan Garcia has been successful because of its vast social media fan base. That’s for discussion. Probably not, probably. The fact remains that he cannot take away his commercial success from him.
In fact, Tank has won top-level awards. Please note that I said the prize. He knows the payday they bring them, just like Canelo Alvarez, so fighters are constantly calling for them. From the opposing fighter manager to the promoter to the family involved, everyone wants Davis the Tank, as everyone represents life-changing money for all involved.
The opinion is that Tank Davis is only enjoying this success, as he is a manufactured fighter. His promoter at the time, Floyd Mayweather, was the fact that when asked about his enemy that fans and the media wanted him to challenge him, he was quoted as saying “leave the tank alone.”
He is protected because he makes a lot of money for many people. The Battle of Lamont Roach was proven to those with the opinion that the tanks were in fact protected and exposed for cherry picking. It is the fact that the wounds did nothing to affect his stardom, and people can argue that they are more intrigued to see if Tank can find his greatness.
Repeated rematches?
I’m not here to say whether the tank needs it or not. It is my opinion that he clearly needs some help, but with any help, I am not entitled to answer. Maybe Gervonta has a mental check-out of boxing and doesn’t have the instincts of driving or killer?
Maybe Davis just needs technical boxing help so that he needs to be more aggressive during his fight. Many experts have always argued that the tank will not throw many punches or lose because he relies on the power to rescue him. Was it a night break or was the tank not that good?
For discussion. But Clarissa brings up a more moving and meaningful question: Does Jevonta need something much deeper than boxing? It has become popular for athletes like Deontay Wilder to go to Ayahuaskari Treat to fight the devil in search of peace and clarity in the infamous sport of boxing.
Wilder claimed it made him a better man. Let me know what Tank Davis needs. He needs to beat Lamont Roach, so call him Captain Empent. What I’ve heard from the fans is that they hope that they will eventually stop criticism by fighting the fans. The media claimed he avoided it.
There’s no need to give his name because people know it, but when the rematch comes, Tank Davis needs to calm the critics down and make a statement by stopping Lamont Roach. Anything below Tank Davis knockout, sharks smell like blood.
Another controversial decision, and it could all end for Tank Davis in that it’s a boxing face. It’s nothing more than an epic performance from the tank. It could also indicate that it’s time to leave. Loss and Tank Davis may retire very well, and we will never see him fight again. That’s a shame.
