Correctional agent was shot and killed In South Florida What authorities described as a “targeted” attack Monday night.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of the shooting in the 1400 block of Northwest Avenue D, Belgrade, at 7:32pm Monday.
At the scene, lawmakers discovered the victim was a 39-year-old non-mandated compensation adjutant.
“On arrival they found an adult man in pain. Gun wounds. He was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment,” PBCSO said in a statement.

Limited details were available, but the sheriff’s office said “the incident was targeted” when it announced the death of the lieutenant on social media.

The suspect has not been identified yet.
