Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the Biden administration’s Day policy reforms “important and historic.”

The department shared a PowerPoint slide that provides examples of phrases to avoid.
One of the slides gave readers a descriptive phrase that could unintentionally affect them. He then cited examples of gender adjectives, such as “Dr. Sarah Gray is a caring and caring doctor” and “Dr. Joel Gray is extremely successful in his patients.”
The faint praise was also disappointing. One example that the slides offer was “he/he worked hard on the project he was assigned” or “never had a tantrum.”

The State Department has removed the DEI requirement from performance assessments for foreign service personnel.
The slides were disappointed with the use of female and minority names and male titles.
Additionally, as Doge pointed out in its post, the slide asked local organizations to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) programs, training and lectures, and rituals for the annual DEIA Awards.
Foreign service personnel were also encouraged to set race and gender assignments for embassy speaking panels and other diplomatic events.
