Last week, Trump announced new tariffs on goods imported from abroad, including 10% baseline collection and “individualized higher tariffs” in certain countries that hold large trade obstacles with the United States.

Treasury Department Scott Bescent told Fox Business’s Larry Kudlow on Monday that he was “closing 50, 60, perhaps 70 countries that are approaching us.”

He said Trump “already” threatened tariffs and threatened the country that he was willing to negotiate.
