Howe says “with the best possible hand,” assistant Tyndal says.

Newcastle United says manager Eddie Howe “with the best possible hands” as he is recovering from hospital pneumonia.

Howe, 47, missed Sunday 4-1 victory over Manchester United Also, we will miss Wednesday’s match against Crystal Palace, but there is no date for him to return.

Assistant Jason Tindall will be taking on the side again against the Eagles at St James Park.

He states: “I know Eddie is in the best possible hands, and he will come back as soon as he feels he is 100% ready to come back to lead the team.

“Of course, your health is the most important thing. That’s why when Eddie decides to come back, he can come back and lead the team like he’s during the day and he can fully recover.

“I shared some text messages yesterday. The most important thing for the manager right now is rest and recovering, and probably don’t worry too much other than making sure he’s recovering as quickly as possible.

“Hopefully we can bring him here as our leader as soon as possible, but only when he does 100% right.”

Newcastle will take the victory on Wednesday, moving Nottingham Forest to third in the Premier League table, but the Palace is competing for European football itself after a great run.

Tyndal said: “We have no thought of anything but preparations for tomorrow night to deliver performances we know we need to provide to be sufficient to win the game.

“We know Crystal Palace is in great shape. Saturday was just the second loss on the road in 15 games. They don’t acknowledge too many goals. It’s going to be a really difficult challenge for us. They’re a dangerous aspect.

“But if we can go out and deliver weekend-like performances, I hope that will go a long way in helping us get the points we want.”
