Former Politico Reporter Ryan Liza He believes America is facing under President Donald Trump, blowing up his former employer on Monday, suggesting that news organizations have not met the mark during “an unprecedented moment of democratic danger.”

Liza became tabloid feed last year when it was revealed that his ex-fiance, former New York magazine author Olivia Nutzi, was inappropriately involved. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.who she covered for the magazine. The pair canceled their engagement. Liza was initially taken a leave from Politico as Nutzi accused him of horror and harassment, but she eventually dismisses her claim, and Liza is welcomed by Politico with reduced roles.

Liza announced Monday that he had left Politico and started a substance called Telos.

“Is it the main reason? Their style of political coverage is that they don’t meet the unprecedented moments of democratic danger we are facing,” Liza wrote. Telos’ debut article.

“I know it sounds dramatic, but the gap between what’s actually happening in Washington and how it’s framed and reported has become so widespread,” he continued. “This new publication, Telos, is my modest attempt to make things better.”

Liza proposed in Politico that “the wrong people are in charge,” and her former employer denounced Trump’s grove.

“We’ve seen a lot of attention how easy it was for media conglomerates to grow up before the Trump administration when the wrong people were in charge,” Liza wrote.

“After Trump attacked Politico for selling a subscription to the federal government, Politico made a disappointing mistake,” he continued. “To make things smooth, they have made our White House reporters a guest on the stage at CPAC, a media sewer and cheerleading sewer, in other words, coupons, because of the degradation of our democracy, where some activists have publicly organized Trump’s unconstitutional third term.”

Liza was referring to Politico White House Director Dasha Burns, who interviewed Special President Richard Grenell at the 2025 edition of CPAC in February.

Burns did not immediately respond to requests for comment Fox News Digital.

Liza later declared that the Trump administration was “psychologically confused” to many in Washington.

“My friend who worked in Iraq once tried to explain to me how psychologically disorienting a war that was psychologically confusing for soldiers for the first time in full-scale combat.

In a follow-up article Tuesday, Liza said Politico ordered him to delete the first article because he violated his non-discrimination clause. Liza refused to delete the article, essentially doubled the criticism.

“I hope that Coolerhead wins here. I hope that Politico friends will carefully consider whether they want to censor journalists,” he writes.

Politico did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Nuzzi claims that she had never had a physical relationship with Kennedy, the subject of her previous report, but she engaged in “personal” communication. She left the New York magazine after investigating her reporting that there was “no evidence of inaccuracy or bias.”

Kennedy’s representative has long denied all sorts of physical relationships, and he said he had only met Nutzi once. Liza vehemently denied Nutzi’s harassment and threatening claims, and threatened her before she dropped them.
