Manufacturing drama

This fight is a 100% manufactured drama and a glorious celebrity match. It’s a recreational match, taking advantage of older sentimental British fans who remember Nigel Ben and Chris Eubank’s famous father. Hearn deserves to be named snake oil salesmen because these are not true world-class fighters, as this unnatural battle places more entertainment than sports.

The sanctions group technically ranked the two fighters, but never beat a top-class opponent during their careers, and Saturday’s fight was considered a match between the two top-level fighters. Ben lost to almost all candidates in the 147 rankings, and was Eubank Jr.

“Connor Ben is ranked in all governing bodies, or most of them. Along with the top five. He says, ‘He’s not the top 15 welterweight’.” Boxing Socialresponding to comments from Simon Jordan about him being a snake oil salesman, he sees Eubank’s JR Ben battle as a fight between world-class candidates. “Chris Eubank is in the top 15 world rankings for middleweights. Are you saying he’s not the top 15 middleweight?”

Just because a licensed organization ranks Ben and Eubank Jr. doesn’t mean they deserve it. They’re not beat-beat-beating to rate them being ranked in the top tier.

None of Ben’s final six wins have faced a welterweight contender. He has fought all rankless fighters in his career and has not upgraded the opposite level he faces. That’s the troublesome part.

The decline of Eubank Jr.

“He’s 35, he’s inactive and just got knocked out by Liam Smith. Yeah, he has no way of being a fighter he used to be. He’s not fearless anymore,” Hearn said. He was once fearless. He’s a tough guy. He has a great jaw, but he is cleaned and he is not the same fighter. ”

Eubank Jr. was clearly not the fighter he once beat fighters from 2015 to 2018, such as Arthur Abraham, Lenordkinrun, Nick Blackwell and Gary O’Sullivan. He still has enough left to defeat the inexperienced, small, inert Connor Ben.

“His body is falling apart. They patched him to get through camp. He’s ready to take. It’ll be easy, but he didn’t have the right trainer. He never went from camp to camp.

“He’s dedicated, he’s dedicated, but he’s not close to Connor Ben’s level. He doesn’t want that anymore. He’s not about boxing anymore. It’s money, money, money. That’s it. Give me money.”
