Neymar will make decisions with new clubs in the coming weeks as Santos Future is uncertain
Neymar says he will reveal his next career move in the coming weeks as speculation about the club’s future continues to grow.
The Brazilian forward returned to his first club Santos in January on a five-month contract that expires at the end of June.
The club wants to keep him up until the 2026 World Cup, but Neymar claims he hasn’t made a final decision.
“I don’t know yet. I’m not going to answer any further questions about it. I’m already saying I don’t know, so that’s because I’m still thinking about it.
“There’s no point in asking me again in three days, as the answers will be the same. I will only decide after the 12th (June),” he said after starting a friendly 3-1 defeat to Leipzig on Wednesday.
Speculation has escalated as to whether Neymar will remain or move elsewhere as Brazil’s top division has paused at the Club World Cup since June 12th.
His father and agent Neymar da Silva Santos admitted that his son’s future remains uncertain and tackled the rumors.

“Everyone will know if we will continue on June 30th,” he said.
“Neymar’s contract has expired and renewal has not yet been discussed, so there has been no decision. The renewal depends on several factors. Santos is completely free to accept Neymar or not.
“Now we need to know if Santos has the structure to keep Neymar alive. That’s not up to us… Does Neymar have a market now?”
The 32-year-old’s return to Santos has been hampered by repeated muscular injuries, limiting him to three league appearances so far.
His father added:
“We knew the inactivity we had been experiencing for a while that we had to accumulate minutes, reach the field and push ourselves a bit to see how our bodies react after such a long layoff.
“We are very pleased with his way of doing things in his recovery. Today he was able to play for 45 minutes. Neymar is strong, we are happy with how things are going.”
