Trump and Musk clash with “big beautiful” tax bill and EV subsidies
It appears that President Trump and Elon Musk were dropped out after a comfortable relationship when Musk ran through Doge. Trump has his views on why Musk is upset.
president Donald Trump On Thursday he said he was disappointed with Elon Musk’s criticism of the Republican tax cut package. The billionaire called it “unpleasant and hateful” and urged Congress to block the action.
“Well, you know, I was very surprised because I’ve always liked Elon, and you saw the words he had. He hasn’t said anything about me. I want him to criticize me more than the bill. “It’s the biggest cut in the history of our country.”

Trump said he didn’t consider Musk’s recommendation for candidates to lead NASA because his future candidate is a Democrat, so he understands why Musk was upset.

Trump also said Musk was aware of the bill’s provisions related to EV mandate and incentives and “Eron knew more about the internal mechanisms of the bill than anyone sitting here,” and he initially said it was “no problem.”
