Boxing Results: Mason Stops Nakatila – Video Highlights
Abdullah Mason (19-0, 17 Kos) defeated Jeremiah’s “Lowkey” Nakatila (26-5, 21 Kos) in his fifth technical knockout in a lightweight Saturday night match at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
In the first two rounds, Mason had a slight edge. In the third round, Mason covered Nakatila by refuting the punch. In the fourth round, Mason rocked Nakatira to the end of the round to the left to the left to the chin. Nakatila has a significant swelling around her left eye, urging her doctor to call for a stop.


In the co-main event, Southpaw Kelvin Davis (15-1, 8 KOS) lost a 10-round majority decision against Nahir Albright (17-2, 7 KOs).
In the first round, Albright used his rights against Southpaw Davis. In the second round, Albright landed an overhand over his chin, driving Davis towards the ropes midway through the round. In the third round, there was too much holding by Davis.
In the final fourth round, a counter from Albright on Davis’ chin kept him. In the fifth round, Albright landed a punch and Davis quickly pulled him into the clinch. Judgment Malik Weredo had to take the points from Davis for continued retention.
In the seventh round, umpire Waylead ultimately warned Davis to hold. Davis began fighting in the final minute without holding. Albright made a small cut with his right eye for Davis’ headbutt. In the eighth round, Albright was close to having a slight edge.
In the ninth round, Albright took another close round. In the final round of the 10th, Albright came out and landed a left hook on Davis’ chin, grabbing his attention and grabbing him by the clinch. From the clinch, Albright landed the right on Davis’ chin.
Scores were 95-95, 97-93, and 96-94.


Middleweight Southpaw Yuri “Labazka” Cedeno (12-0-1, 11 KO) knocked out Abel “The Real” Mina (18-4-1, 9 KO) after 10 rounds of five.
In the first three rounds, Cedeno stalked Mina and covered it. In the fifth round, Cedeno dropped Mina to the right in his head in the final seconds. At the end of the round, Mina’s corner was called a stop.
Welterweight Olympian Delante “Tiger” Johnson (16-0, 7 KOs) defeated Janelson Bocachica (17-4-1, 11 KOs) with a unanimous decision in the 10th round.
In the first five rounds, Johnson was close to having a slight edge. In the sixth round, Boca Chica had a good round.
In the ninth round, Bocachica went to the body driving Johnson towards the Bell’s rope, going back and forth throughout the round. In the 10th final round, Johnson covered Bocachica in a nearby round.
Scores were 100-90, 97-93, and 98-92. Chris Flores was a judge.
Middleweight Olympian Troy “Transformers” Isley (15-0, 5 KOS) defeated Etown’s Michelle William (16-2, 12 KOs) with a unanimous decision in the 10th round.
In the first five rounds, Eiley covered William with a strong body attack and won all five rounds. In the seventh round, Irey suffered from a small cut outside her left eye.
In the eighth round, Isley came back even stronger and took another round. In the ninth round, William became the attacker, knowing he was quite behind. In the final round of the 10th, it was William to use his reach to take the round.
Scores were 98-92, 96-94, and 96-94. Malik Waleed was a judge.


The lightweight Deric ‘Scooter’ Davis (7-0, 7 KOS) stopped Naheem Parker (5-3, 2 KOS) at the end of the second round of the scheduled six rounds.
In the final seconds of the second round, Davis landed the left uppercut on his body and headed to Parker for a count from umpire Clancy.
Welterweight Keon ‘DB3’ Davis (4-0, 3 KOS) knocked out Michael A. Velez-Garcia (3-1, 2 KOS) at 2:22 in the second round of the scheduled sixth round.
In the second round, Davis landed on the right, then the left landed on the body, with Veres Garcia raw across the ring and counted by referee Bill Clancy.


Cruiserweight “Irish” Patrick O’Connor (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Marcus Smith (2-2, 2 KOs) at 2:03 in the second round of the scheduled four rounds.
In the second round, O’Connor landed the right uppercut on his body, putting him in the corner to hurt him. Soon, O’Connor stopped Smith with several unanswered punches, and umpire Clancy called for a halt.
