Dana White & Tko tout Canelo Vs Crawford: Will the UFC boost PPV for boxing’s “big battle”?

Turki Alalshikh confirmed today that Dana White will promote the September 13 match between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford along with TKO boxing. With Dana’s reach through UFC, it can bring more fans’ interest and PPV purchases Super Fight.

Canelo-Crawford PPV Price Discussion

Canelo-Crawford’s platform has not been revealed, and there is no PPV price. Canelo’s recent battle with Edgar Berlanga and Jaime Mungia is in the $70 range. Given that Turki calls Canelo vs Crawford “the biggest fight in boxing,” it makes sense to assume that the price of a PPV is higher than Alvarez’s recent fight, and could possibly be $90 or $100.

Crawford is too expensive for this fight as it is not popular with mainstream fans. Furthermore, the fight is seen in money terms for the aging Canelo Alvarez, 35, and the 40-year-old Bud Crawford.

Fans don’t know how well they perform to know if it’s worth throwing $90 to $100 to buy the event, given that Crawford has never fought at a 168 or 160. He looked weak and old, edging Madrimov with a score of 115-113 x 3.

With Crawford’s older age, chronic inactivity and small frame, it’s doubtful that these three candidates can beat the title shot against Canelo.
