Glentolett MD Jenny Burnluthor leaves

Jennie Baernreuther resigned as Glentlett’s MD just a year later, at the helm of the Scotch whisky distillery.

Baernreuther joined the Crieff-based business in March 2024, 17 years later with the Specialty Drinks Group.

In a LinkedIn post, she wrote: “After finishing my role as managing director at Glenturret, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and pride. Even in a relatively short period of the brand’s long history, I am given the opportunity to lead this incredible business.

“What I miss most about Glentolett is the people who make business special, whether it’s beautiful places or even the fun, delicious whiskey with Michelin stars.”

Baernreuther said in his plan to move to the Cotswolds “at the end of the summer” and start a new career chapter after the “yard vacation.”

Glenturret is jointly owned by Lalique Group and Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss.

Both parties Formed a joint venture on 50/50 In 2019, after Lalique Chairman Silvio Denz acquired the site from Edlington via wine company Art & Terroir.

The distillery, known for its single malts, has not yet been named Burnluther’s successor. The company’s product range also includes Aberturret Gin.

Just drink I approached Glentolett and Lalique for comments.

Among Lalique’s other assets is the French wine estate Chateau La Farri Pyraghi.
