“Riley is a mag, and I couldn’t be more opposed to politics, but I agree with her (100%) about keeping sports safe and fair for girls and women,” Navratilova wrote on X on Saturday. “And so are most people, Republicans, Democrats and everything in between.”
Navratilova has revealed in the past that she is not a supporter of the president Donald Trumpand a quick scan of her social media posts will highlight that. But she laments Democrats’ inaction on the issue of trans athletes taking part in women’s and women’s sports.

She also expressed her dissatisfaction in January when the House passed protections for women and girls in sports law. Only two Democrats voted as Republicans on the bill.
“You need to step up here. I agree, but I know a lot of people who are scared to speak up for reelection. I say I’ll do the right thing. I’ll develop my spine,” she wrote to X.
