SEC champion runner Eliud Kipsang dies days after cardiac arrest

former Alabama Truck Star Eliud Kipun passed away a few days after suffering from cardiac arrest, the university announced. He was 28 years old.
Kipsan, born in Kenya and is currently owned by the current owner. Some program records, He suffered cardiac arrest on Friday, June 6th, according to the GoFundMe campaign set up on behalf of his family. He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Samaritan Hospital in Puyalup, Washington, but died on Tuesday a few days later.

“We are heartbroken with the passing of one of the most talented athletes ever wearing Crimson and White,” coach Dan Waters said in a statement provided by the university.
“His impact on our program has extended far beyond records and championships. He was a beloved teammate, a huge number of dear friends to me, and personally a dear friend. Running Community I lost my amazing soul. ”

Kipsang won gold medals at the 2021 Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championship and SEC Cross Country Championship at the men’s 1,500m. That same year he was named Seconds This year’s runner.
The following season he set a college record in the 1,500m for men, with a 3:33.74 hour still remaining five college days.
