Joe Cordina predicts that Sam Norke will stun Abdullah Mason for a free WBO lightweight title
Joe Cordina believes #1’s Sam Norke will defeat #2 Abdullah Mason when he fights for the next free WBO lightweight title. The World Boxing organization has ordered Mason (19-0, 17 Kos) and Noaki (17-0, 15 KOs) to begin negotiations to fight for the title stripped from Keyshawn Davis due to weight last week.
Cordina’s Naakes is shaking prediction
Mason is considered the 135 future star and is expected to do the simple task of the inexperienced Noki. For Cordina to be right with his predictions, it must be a much better fighter than fans are watching him.
Former IBF super featherweight champion Cordonia (17-1, 9 KOS) wants to fight Noake if he wins the lightweight WBO title. Joe, 33, missed a fight against WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stephenson, who suffered a New Jersey native injury last October and was forced to pull him out.
That was Cordina’s chance to rebuild his career, following his eighth TKO defeat with Anthony Cacace last May 2024.
“Now he’s fighting for a world title, so if he gets his tactics at night, he believes he can win it very comfortably,” Joe Cordina said. Boxing News On his belief that Sam Noaki can defeat Abdullah Mason when he fights for the free WBO lightweight strap. “Then it will be a massive battle for Britain, as it is for the world title.”
Noakis: Mason’s easy opponent
The prediction that Cordina’s Noaki will “comfortly” defeat Mason sounds eccentric and makes no sense. On paper, this is Mason’s early knockout victory within four rounds. At best, if Abdullah fights modestly like Abdullah repeatedly again on June 7th, Noakes will reach sixth. Mason stopped him in the sixth round. He has power at any level in the department, so he had to take time with Nakatila. Noakes is defensively restricted to last as long as Nakatira.
“Obviously, you’ll have to work first and foremost within three weeks (to Jaret Gonzalez Quiroz on July 5th),” Cordina says. “Yeah, it could be a big British fight (against Noakes). He has to do a little, so I have to do a little,” Cordina said.
As inactive as Cordina, Joe is away from the 14-month layoff after a knockout loss to Cathes, so it’s not a shock if Kiros beat him next month. Plus, Cordina looks like she’s 34 years old, and he’s no longer a spring chicken. His odometer age and mileage from his tough battle with Kakas, Edward Vazquez and Shabkatzhon Rakimov would have taken too much from him. They were Cordina’s final three fights.
Cordina’s reality “clouds”
“It’s a fantasy at the moment. They (Noaki and Mason) have not reached an agreement that they are still fighting, and we don’t know how long it will take for that fight to happen.
Cordina sounds like she lives in the clouds. The reality is that Noakes could be badly lost to Abdullah Mason in a blown defeat, and Cordina would be knocked out by 24-year-old Mexican fighter Quiroz. His career is in the mud and there’s nothing he can do to pull himself out of it. Cordina doesn’t see what they really are.
