Multiple police officers injured in violent Portland riots at ICE facility

Multiple police officers were injured Portland, Oregon During a violent riot at an Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility on Saturday night.
The mob launched fireworks, fired smoked rena bullets, and threw rocks at federal law enforcement. Ice facilitiesHomeland Security Advisor Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital.
Federal law enforcement agencies were able to secure the facility, but four officers were injured during the attack.

The riot came after the city held a “No Kings” protest at 1 p.m.
Tens of thousands of people marched downtown and returned to the Waterfront Park around 4pm.

Portland Police Bureau (PPB) declared an illegal gathering near the facility around 6:30pm local time, warning that crowd control measures, including impact ammunition and other physical forces, should be used if necessary.
About 30 minutes later, the PPB said that a medical event was reported inside the ice facility and the healthcare workers required to enter were reported.
They warned the mob to not interfere with the police, or “power could be used against you,” the station wrote on social media.

The governor warns anti-Trump “king” protesters to be violent: “You’ll be arrested.”
Around 8pm, the PPB said officers would observe criminal activities, including assault and detective mischief, and make targeted arrests.
“Please do not interfere with police actions,” the agency wrote in a later post. “If you fail to comply with this order, you may be subject to a quote or arrest.”
It is unknown how many arrests were made.

“The Portland riots are violently targeting federal law enforcement, and we don’t sit and watch these co-sick people,” McLaughlin said. “Secretary (Kristi) NameThe message to the rioters is clear. You will not stop us or slow us down. ICE and federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you place your hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be charged to the fullest extent of the law. ”

Posters pasted throughout the city include the agent’s identity, photographs and addresses.

The DHS said it will not block the law from being enforced.
“We are not halted by the threats and threats of mobs,” DHS wrote in the post. “Ice immigration enforcement will only increase. The violent targeting of law enforcement in Portland, or the lawless riot squad, is sleazy, and its leaders must call for it to be put to an end.”
