Anti-ice riots trigger strong statements from Angel City FC

National Women’s Soccer League Club Angel City FC On Saturday night, the anti-ice riots plagued parts of Los Angeles County last week, called T-shirts decorated with the words “Immigrant City Football Club” on their chests.

Singer/songwriter Becky G, who is also an investor in the club, read a statement that players will walk onto the pitch for the match.
“At Angel City, we believe in the power of belonging, and we know that. Los Angeles It’s strong for that diversity and the people and families that shape it, who love it, and for the families that call it home,” she said via the Los Angeles Times. Football doesn’t exist without immigration. This club would not exist without immigration.
“This is our home. This is LA. This immigrant city.”
