European champions operating in LA

Paris Saint-Germain maintained his form of sweeping towards the Champions League title this afternoon, highlighting Atletico Madrid in the opening match of the Club World Cup.

Luis Enrique’s side was appealing in the fiery Los Angeles Heat as Atletico’s attempt to turn the game into street abilities failed. Fabian Lewis advanced with PSG in the 19th minute, with Vitinha adding one second to his first half injury time. PSG’s alternative, Senny Mayulu, did it 3-0, 3-0 before Lee Kang-In’s penalty concluded the highly satisfying opening match day for the giants in Ligue 1.

Atletico provided a sporadic threat in the second half – we saw Julian Alvarez rule out the goal, but their challenge effectively ended when Clement Renlett spoke to the second yellow card in the 13th minute.

PSG is a block sound

It was Atletico who began doing bright things as Argentine striker Alvarez stood upright on Genrulugi Donnaruma’s left hand, after his second free kick inch.

However, PSG quickly gained the upper hand in mid-3, when Joao Neves, Vitinha and Ruiz dominated the park’s centre.

The Spanish side was doing their best to disrupt the PSG flow, but it appeared that Giuliano, the son of boss Diego Simeone, had been in trouble with apparent pain after a slight touch.

Atletico struggled to get out of the half, and the continued PSG pressure led to the opening goal.

Lewis opens the score

In a neat play at the edge of the box at Atletico, Kvicha Kvarazkeria returned the ball for Luis, and the Spanish midfielder climbed over Jan Obrak to the bottom corner with a shot of his left foot.

Simeone caused a brief moment when it burst in the goal, but instead of running he made entangled arms with Nuno Mendes before fleeing to the ground. Judge istvan Kovacs correctly shakes off the protest.

The game left the Roji Blancos even further with a halftime stroke.

Seconds after Antoine Griezmann saw the snapshot of being saved by Donnaruma, the PSG surged forward, with Kvarazkeria playing Vichinha and running away through the centre of Atletico’s defense.

Oblak denies Kvaratskhelia

Slovenia International had no chance in its efforts, but created an incredible stop to keep his side in the game right after halftime.

On a lung fuel run from Nuno Mendes, he saw him choosing Kvaratzkeria, and after the Georgians were cut inside, he produced a powerful shot that could only be held up by oblark diving full length to divert the ball to the underside of the bar.

Atletico thought he used Oblak’s efforts by halving the deficit after 57 minutes. However, the goal was banned after Alvarez stroked homer Simeone’s pass and Cork was deemed to have won the ball with a Desire Doe foul.

Atletico became even more furious when Oblak was apparently hindered and Renlett went too far in his protest and was rejected, when Kovac failed to give him a foul.

Sollos Shocker

Ten men were temporarily inspired and had to score immediately afterwards.

Marcos Lorente escaped to the right, and his low cross was perfect for alternative Alexander Sollos, but the striker somehow burned his efforts at the bar from four yards in the gaps in the goal.

Like in the first half, they were made to pay.

Griezmann, who messed up trying to clear Achurav Hakimi’s low cross, accidentally pushed the ball back into the mileage path, and he didn’t make a mistake.

The PSG was not completed and the subsequent brawls included a shot by Mile who slammed the unfortunate Robin Le Normand into his hand after Ibrahim Mbey hit the post. The referee went to the pitch side monitor and confirmed the penalty Lee had sent out easily.
