Minnesota officials update search for suspects allegedly murdering lawmakers

Minneapolis – On Sunday evening, Minnesota officials provided an update on what they described as a search for “fluid” Senior shooting suspect Vancebolter.
Belter, 57, is accused of murder Minnesota Senator Melissa Hortman And her husband, Mark, was at his Brooklyn Park home in Minneapolis early Saturday morning. He is also accused of shooting and killing Democrat Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette at a nearby Shampurin home.
Drew Evans, the Minnesota Criminal Arrest Service (BCA), said Sunday that law enforcement officials are still trying to find and arrest Bolter on federal and local warrants.
“We have information that has led to a search in Sibley County,” Evans said. He later added that there are hats in the area that appear to belong to the suspect. He encouraged anyone around the Sibley County area who saw what was suspicious about contacting police.
Evans said authorities have sifted through 400 tips and described Sunday’s search as “fluid.”
“This is a complicated situation where our investigators need time to sift through information and evidence,” Evans said.

A massive manhunt from Bolter began on Sunday on Saturday morning after the shooting was reported. Police were saying this when asked if the suspect was about to leave the country or if he was about to go to Canada.

“There is no evidence that he intended a particular destination, but all options are open to the investigators and are exploring it for now,” Evans told reporters Sunday, adding that it is unclear how Boerter travels on foot, on vehicle or another form of transportation.
Authorities operate under the assumption that the suspect is still alive.

Late Sunday afternoon, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota confirmed that Fox News had been sent a warning that the suspect’s vehicle had been found near Highway 25 and 301 Avenue in Faxon Township, Sibley County.

“We just decided to stay indoors because we knew what it was,” Nate Douglas, a Sibley County resident in Minnesota, told Fox News Digital Sunday afternoon.

However, the alert said no suspects were found.

“John is currently enduring many surgeries and is getting closer every hour to get out of the woods,” Yvette wrote. “He took (9 times) a bullet hit. I took (8). We are incredibly lucky to be both alive. We are destroyed and devastated by the loss of Melissa and Mark. There is never a place for this kind of political hatred.”
