As the most important posters on the internet said, how to troll a troll
I also really believe that when people are rude to you it says more about them than you. Sometimes I just reply to a troll’s comment with “u ok ??” Honestly, that’s something I’m wondering about. “Thank you for your engagement, have a great day!” Another favorite just to give people a check of reality. I fully understand and support the way some creators have strict blocking standards, but I hardly block people because I’m honestly fascinated by how other people’s minds work.
Are you a troll?
I see online engagement as a form of social currency, so rather than wasting engagement on content I disagree with, I prefer to use my favorite things, comments, and sharing on content I actually like and support. Others are adjacent to scientists and science who are becoming more popular because they become haters. I don’t want to be part of that elitist culture.

It seems that everyone who posts on r/unpopularopinion is a troll. How do you moderate it?
subreddit They handle a fair amount of trolls, but most of them are pretty low. Classics like xenophobia, racist or other ridiculous posts similar to “I think Hitler was right” are generally picked up by our autofilter, but sometimes more creative comes along. One of my favourites Posts What we left behind had to do with enjoying the feeling of wet socks. Such benign posts don’t bother me, but leaving one on the front page for a while will generally result in more influx in the future.

What are some strategies for dealing with shit online?
As a rule, I ignore them. It’s not worth getting mad at things on (most) anonymous forums. I enjoy a bit of round-trip banter on some of the small subreddits I visit frequently! If I spend the day replies and reads all the hate messages I got, I will become a very busy person.

Quote from Galaxy Hitchhiker Guide: “I want to be far happier than any day.”
Are you a troll or shit?
I don’t necessarily think I’m a troll, but I enjoy playing the devil’s advocate (probably why I started R/inconsistency in the first place). But unless it’s that serious, definitely enjoy the shit.

Does it take a blow to you? How do you troll a troll?
I would point out that 95% of trolls can’t write simple statements, so I usually confuse them with “them” and “there” or “them”. I don’t respond to everyone. Because there’s not enough time on that day, and to quote my mother, “Racism is water, not sharks.”
So, how do you deal with them?
Through all the information published on the Internet, passionless readings of the situation in their lives tend to end the argument fairly quickly.
