Arkansas baseball star gauge wood pitched a third no-hit College World Series For the first time in 65 years on history and Monday, they attacked record 19 against Murray State to protect the team’s 3-0 victory.
Wood joined Jim Ehler and Jim Wickson in Texas in 1950. Oklahoma In 1960, he was the only pitcher to throw a no-hitter.

Junior had only two three-ball counts, as 83 of the 119 pitches were on strike.
Wood bid for a perfect match in eight innings, but a 2-2 destruction ball hit Domdecker with his hind legs.
“I knew it was ruined when I hit the guy with my feet,” Wood said after the match.

Still, junior right-handed Wood, who set up a CWS record for a strikeout in nine games, celebrated his feat after the match.
“The only special thing was that I didn’t want to go home. That’s all,” he said. “We won’t go home. We can play tomorrow night. But it’s pretty cool.”

Wood asked what he did with the game ball and said, “I handed it to my dad and said Happy Father’s Day.”
Arkansas (49-14) will play another elimination game against the winner of the Monday night match between LSU and UCLA on Tuesday night.
