Why is Rolando Romero from WBA likely to be promoted to Super Champion status?

Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero could be promoted to WBA Super Champion on Welterweight, and Jaron Ennis officially announced today that he is moving to 154. Romero (17-2, 13 KOS) currently holds the WBA “regular” 147 pound title.

Potential WBA elevation for Romero

Many fans are unhappy with Rory being promoted to WBA Super Champion. His record of taking part in the battle with Kingley last May was 2-2 in his previous four fights, and he never fought at welterweight. The WBA was giving Roland the #2 ranking without fighting

Why not Giyasov vs Romero?

Fans feel that Romero should have had to compete with #1 rank Shafram Zyasov In the case of the free WBA belt, not Ryan, who hadn’t fought in 13 months, he had stopped the suspension after a failed drug test. Ideally, the WBA should order Romero to face Jiyasov for WBA’s “Super Champion” status, but they won’t do that. He already holds the secondary WBA title. So they lift him up.

Rolly, 29, is not expected to hold the WBA welterweight title for long. Because many boxing fans don’t dig up fighter jets for a wallet that allows him to milk the title, but expect him to lose in the defense of his first title if he matches his live body.

One good thing Romero does for him is that he is good at talking about garbage and creates interest in his fight when he is mentally engaged. Due to his fight with Garcia, he was barely visible during the build-up, allowing others to talk during the press conference.

Since winning the WBA title, the only fighter Rory has expressed interest in combat is 46-year-old Manny Pacquiao if he abdicates WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios next month on July 19th.

The next move in the WBA

The WBA has yet to order Romero to protect the belt against anyone. So, if you filmed the WBC belt, you could potentially fight Pacquiao. If the WBA forces them to face Giyasov or #2 Devin Haney for the Super Champion Belt at 147, that’s great.

At least if they did that, Romero has to work for the title rather than actually having the title given to a silver platter. Fans can’t respect that. If Rolly defeated Giyasov or Haney, it would say much more than he won Garcia. I could see it with a gap The entire battle last May. It seemed Ryan was fantasizing the whole battle and not focused after being dropped in the second round by Romero.
