Ron Washington is a baseball life, but recent health concerns are Los Angeles Angels The manager is a little far from the game.
Angels general manager Perry Minasian has announced plans for Washington to leave indefinitely.
“We all know how important (baseball) is, but certain things are bigger than baseball, and health is clearly first and foremost.” Minasian said in a statement on Friday.
The team’s bench coach Ray Montgomery will be in charge of managing the Angels’ game against the Houston Astros on Friday night.

Washington, 73 experienced shortness of breath and appeared exhausted towards the end of the 4-game series New York Yankees. He was exempt from the Yankees doctor to go home with his team on Thursday night and received a series of medical tests on Friday.

The angels did not specify the symptoms Washington is experiencing, but said the manager addressed the clubhouse team on Friday. Washington had planned to watch the game from GM Angel Stadium Suite. Washington was not available in the media.

“The Wash hasn’t felt good over the past few days,” Minasian said. “We want to make sure he is 100% before he returns to dugout and management. I don’t know how long it will take. I don’t think it will be too long.
“We all know how important this is to all of us, but health is more important than anything. Personally, I haven’t brought him back to the dugout until I know he’s 100%.

Washington managed Texas Rangers To the 2010 and 2011 back-to-back World Series, Minasian was hired by the Minasian before the 2024 season, when the Angels lost a franchise record of 99 games.

The Angels took part in Friday night’s game, 36-38, 6½ games behind Al West’s Astros. The Angels are 15-6 in one run game, with a major league best of .714 wins and 5-0 innings.
