Canelo Alvarez fires at Terence Crawford: “He needs to do more than just move.”

Canelo Alvarez says underdog Terrence Crawford will have to “do something” besides moving around if he wants to abdicate his indisputable super middleweight championship on September 13th.

It doesn’t help that he believes that the main reason Terrence is fighting this fight is for money. If he thought he could win, he would have undergone several adjustments since last year to prepare for a win.

Crawford was not fighting anyone with Canelo’s strength. His shots aren’t hard enough to make the Mexican superstar walk him. Canelo’s power superiority will be important in this battle.

Crawford’s weight disparity dealt with, going up two divisions from 154 to 168, making it difficult for him against the natural 168-pounder Canelo. Crawford, a native of Nebraska, looked average in his debut with Islehr Madrimov at 154.

His power at 147 was not carried over to 154 and was unable to fight Madrimov the way he did against opposition at welterweight.

Canelo’s strategic advantages

Crawford, 37, is believed to try and get Canelo’s box out by jabing, moving and tying him, as he doesn’t have the power to knock him out.

Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) doesn’t know what Crawford (41-0, 31 Kos) can do to win, as he believes he has the advantage of experience in fighting many talented fighters over his 20-year career.

Crawford wasn’t fighting the big name Canelo has. Because the weight class he competed in in his best year had no star power.

“I had all sorts of styles. He’s different because he changes guards. I hope Terence Crawford has a different mentality (who is William Skull) and people enjoy the fight,” Kaenro said. “From my side, don’t worry about that,” Canelo said of his intention to fight aggressively and hard. ”

Terrence’s Boxing Game Plan

Because Crawford is everything he can do. In his final battle with Madrimov, he was forced to the box after experiencing strength in the early rounds. He tried to slug it with Madrimov, but quickly abandoned it after eating lots of heavy shots.

“If he wants to win, he needs to do something in the fight. He needs to do something, not just move around, he needs to do something, and I hope he brings it all. This fight is a risk. It will be a good fight.
