Asus Rog Azoth X Review: Space Age Game Keyboard

lots of Mechanical keyboards struggle with aesthetics. It’s difficult to get it right! If you don’t overstyle it, it could be that it’s blocking functionality or you’re doing too much visually. If you stick to the basics, you Bland keyboard. Either way, it’s still possible that you’re wrong and have something that doesn’t look good.

But it’s really influx A well-designed keyboard Recent: KeyChron’s K2 HE Special Edition A great example with MCHOSE GX87 ULTRANot to mention the countless high-end custom keyboard kits available today. With most of these keyboards, the keycaps take the back seat.

Asus takes the opposite approach with Rog Azoth X: Simple White Case, but is a colorful, stylized keycap. It’s not the most common design, but they look really good and can lift up your desk without taking over your setup. This keyboard looks great without sacrificing material. The AzosX has a 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connection, 1,000 Hz polling, and an internal assembly that allows for fun and easy changes to input. Available in white with click or linear NX switches and includes silicon wrist rest. However, $300 costs a lot.

This keyboard is the most comparable Razer’s BlackWidow V4 75% Typing experience. Both use a metal top case and a plastic bottom case with a gasket mount system and a plastic plate. The stiffness is similar to the sound profile. The biggest difference is the switch options. While Razer’s 75% keyboards are only available with haptic switches, ASUS offers linear and click switches.

The unit I received came with Asus’ Snow Linear Switches. These are rather light linear switches with deeper typing sounds and consistent smoothness throughout the keypress. They aren’t The smoothest switch I’ve testedhowever, you feel friction when typing is minimal and consistent, resulting in a still fun typing experience. These switches also minimize the wobbling of the stem. In other words, key presses give you a sense of steady and confidence when typing. They need less strength Cherry MX Red Switch53 grams of force should be completely bottomed out, compared to 60 grams of MX Red. This difference is noticeable, and compared to a truly lightweight (50g) spring, the switch is more responsive even without the risk of misputting.

Gasket Mounting System The rubber gasket is firmly pushed inside the case, making the keyboard feel like a mix of gasket mounts and O-ring mounts. This means that the sense of typing is consistent across the keyboard, and I feel it’s connected by the case compared to standard foam gaskets. There is still some of the bounce and softness you expect from the gasket mount, but less than many comparable keyboards.

The Azoth X stabilizer is a standard plate mount lubricated from the factory. Plate mount stabilizers usually feel less stable than PCB mounts, but the ones used here still feel good and are rattleless out of the box.

There are many things I like about design. The keycaps have a two-piece assembly with a transparent back for RGB diffusion, slightly flatter than the average keycap. This case has a sophisticated, angular design that looks stylish and space-aged without spending much space.
