Cruz congratulated Rocket with X’s post.

“Congratulations to #Rockets! Losing Brooks really hurts. He’s savage in defense, but KD is an absolute beast,” Cruz wrote. “Amazing trade!”

Rumors about Durant’s Durant trade have been swirling for weeks after the team missed the playoffs with a 36-46 record in one season under Mike Budenholzer. Phoenix believed that adding Durant to his team with Devin Booker and later Bradley Beal would help them return to the NBA Finals.
