Find a comparison of Pixel 9 Pro fold vs. Oppo N5 cameras: Which photos look good?

Foldable phones like Pixel 9 Pro fold and Find oppo n5 We are redefining smartphone designs. But in the end, what Most people just want to know:How good is the camera?

I took photos in both book styles Folding See how the cameras stack up. each phone From sharpness to textures, or life-like colours, it has won the “winner” title.

Generally, due to the design, you cannot find a foldable mobile phone camera. Thinner phones seeking smaller sensors and lenses means that even the best foldable cameras will fall behind something like regular candy bar devices Pixel 9 Pro xl or Galaxy S25 Ultra. Still, if you plan on buying something foldable, you should make sure you’re at least getting the best camera possible. That’s where this comparison is useful.

Let’s start with the camera specifications. The Pixel 9 Pro fold has a 48 megapixel wide, 10.5 megapixel Ultra Wade, 10.8 megapixel 5x telephoto camera, two 10 megapixel selfie cameras, one for the inner screen and the other for the cover screen. It starts at $1,800.

The Oppo Find N5 is a 50 megapixel wide, an 8 megapixel ultra wide, a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera, two 8 megapixel selfie cameras, one for the inner screen and the other for the cover screen. The Singapore Dollar is $2,499, which converts to about $1,870, but is not available in the US or Europe. Apart from the camera specifications, one of the biggest selling points of the Find N5 is how thin it is. When closed, the pixels clock at 10.5mm thick, while the Find N5 is only 8.93mm.

It is important to note that more megapixels do not automatically mean better photos. So we tested these phone cameras in the real world. This is what I found.

One of the biggest differences between the Pixel 9 Pro fold and the Oppo Find N5 photos is that the latter paints more vibrant colors. In these shots of tulips, you will notice that the red and yellow of the petals in the Find N5 photo are bright, similar to the pool in the background. There is a bit more shadow in the pixel photo, but more texture is obtained, especially with the petals and bricks in the foreground.

This is summed up to personal preferences, and each photo has its strengths. The Find N5 adds vibrancy, but the pixels do a better job showing the colour and details of more true creatures. So I’ll award this to the Pixel 9 Pro fold.

In these portrait mode shots of my friend Raneem, the biggest difference is that the pixel crops are approaching. Both phones do a great job with their bokeh effect, and each of my friends’ faces looks bright and bright.

This is a toss-up, but in the end I like the more uniform tone and slightly cooler colors of the pixel photos. At the same time, I like the sharpness of Raneem’s distinctive features in the Find N5 photo. So, I’ll give each one a point here.

These photos were taken in bright California sunshine early in the afternoon. Again, the Find N5 brightens more things than the Pixel 9 Pro fold, but pixels maintain a more true tone, especially in grass.

Overall, both photos are clear, but you will notice more subtle details that make the tree branches of the pixel shots more sharp and the grass blades more identifiable. So I think pixels win here.

These nighttime images taken in my living room show how each phone handles the harsher shadows. You’ll notice how deep the dark colour of the Find N5 is, like the Accent Pillow writing and the shadows around the lamp, or the lower left corner of the pink chair. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold does a better job of doing those shadows in the evening and creating a more consistent overall shot, so I’m getting my vote here.

It will be the zoom range. The Pixel 9 Pro fold features .5x, 1x, 2x, and 5x optical zooms, while the Find N5 has .6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 6x optical zooms (zoom levels have been achieved in part. Trimming the sensor). Again, Find N5 tends to brighten your shots and reduce shadows. I’m grateful that there’s a 3x zoom option when you want to get close, but it’s not too close.

Here’s how the Pixel 9 Pro Fold works at each zoom level:

And here’s how Oppo discovers the performance of the N5: The 6x zoom shot is my favorite due to how bold and vibrant the petals are.

Finally, I took a selfie with the Pixel 9 Pro fold and the cover screen camera of the Oppo Find N5. The biggest thing that stands out is how much dyeing of wooden doors is amplified in the Find N5 shot. This is a bit excessive for me. You’ll also notice that the pink flowers in my jumpsuit pop more.

Both phones do a good job of drawing my skin tones and add overall smoothness to my features. But again, I think the color balance of the overall Pixel 9 Pro fold image is above.

Camera comparisons are equal critique and personal preferences. I like how Oppo finds N5 brightens up some shots, but in general I prefer using people’s images in particular to even prefer true and tones to the ones provided by the Pixel 9 Pro fold. Also, pixels tend to do well in low-light photos by minimizing shadows.

The good news is that you get clear and bright shots on both phones. Whether you zoom in, snap a selfie or tap into portrait mode, each phone has many bends beyond these foldable screens.
