US brewers dominate the 2025 World Beer Cup as California leads all states with medals

The United States is home to several of the world The best beer And cider.
American Brews claimed most of the top awards in each category of the 2025 World Beer Cup.
The West Coast brewer led the way with this year’s World Beer Cup. This is called the “Beer Olympics.”

The 2025 World Beer Cup attracted 8,375 entries from 49 countries.
An international panel of judges rated beers in 112 categories to determine medalists. Entries were rated based on style, color, appearance, aroma and flavor.

California beer received the total medals (most of the US states) for most US states, followed by Oregon (35), Washington (24) and Colorado (21).
Texas concluded the top five states with 13 awards.

Juicy or hacy Indian Pale Ale (IPAS) had the most entries (290). The US wiped out this category with gold, silver and bronze medals.

Two Town Cider Houses in Corvallis, Oregon won medals in four of five possible categories and six of the 15 total cider medals awarded worldwide, including three gold.

Released in 2010, Cidry acquired Cidre Bouche in the Tannic Cider category, Raspberry Cosmic Crisp in the Fruted Cider category, and Pommeau in 2019 in the experimental, barrel aged or specialized cider categories.
He also won the most medals of all participants in this year’s competition in all categories.
