James Harden has been charged with negligence in sexual assault lawsuit

Los Angeles Clippers Star James Harden was charged with negligence after his nephew was sued for alleged sexual assault and rape that occurred in the New Year’s party in December 2024.

Marisa Watley accused Judge Armani Blackburn of being filed for sexual assault and rape Harris County, Texas. A Wigdor Law news release accused the lawsuit of negligence “due to the implementation of his domestic security staff after the party.”

The lawyer was not listed for Blackburn. Fox News Digital reached out to Harden’s agency and the Clippers for comment.

Watley claimed that Harden’s security team had eliminated two friends who attended the party at home with her, despite “laughing that she was still inside.” Watley’s friend contacted her younger sister Elana. Elana Watley was able to take photos at Harden’s security, but a member of the team said there was a woman at Blackburn’s house, but the woman was not Marisa Watley, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that if Harden’s security team had “acted responsibly,” they would have stopped alleged rape.

“When I reported Blackburn’s rape to police from New Year’s Day, I was confused by how Harden’s security acted that day. “I hope this complaint will inspire security employees in general to act more responsibly when women are at risk.”
