“The threat that I am most concerned about Europe is not Russia, not China, not other outside actors,” he said. “What I’m concerned about is the threat from within Europe’s retreat from some of the most fundamental values shared with the United States.”
Many praised Vance for his speech, demonstrating American leadership and defense of freedom, while others criticized it as a bad expression for American politicians on the world stage.

“I think four of them were Chinese,” he said. “The only people who liked the speech were the Chinese and Russians. The Russian foreign minister actually came out and praised the speech. That’s the only praise I’ve heard about what VP Vance had to say. .”
Later in the same interview, he argued that Vance’s rhetoric was like the one used in Nazi Germany to “justify the Holocaust” and that the German alternative was neo-Nazi.
