Consumer AI is converted
– What’s next? Business has already been completely transformed by AI, and there will be more to come. It’s consumer technology that AI is still in its early innings. This is a topic that was joined by four founders building a consumer AI startup earlier this month at New York Tech Week.
Jenny Wang is building it AltaA fashion startup similar to famous closet technology from, ignorance– Users can create their own avatars, incorporate real wardrobes, and get AI-driven help styling clothes. Alta We raised $11 millionwith investors including Michelle Obama’s stylist Meredith Coupe.
Eliza Wu co-founded corneran AI-equipped map platform. Rather than showing everything that could appear on Google Maps, the Corner app curates based on “vibes” and is based on the personalization of what users are interested in.
Clara Gold is the building JijiGold says AI social connectors know everything about you from your long-standing internet footprint.
Fai Nur Created situationA social media game equipped with AI that allows users (mainly Gen Z and Gen Alpha) to experience them, such as chasing users (mostly Gen Z and Gen Alpha) or living as other people or different versions.
What these founders have in common is that so far, they incorporate and use technologies that have made a major difference in productivity at work and at home to change the way we interact with the “fun” technologies we use every day. It’s everything from the next generation of games and social media to the clothes we wear and the ways we experience the world around us.
The tech giants have incorporated some of these features, but their founders argue that startups are in the best position to shape the AI, personalized era of consumer technology. “Existing search engines are highly visible in existing stakeholders and existing revenue models,” said Wu, co-founder of Maps App Corner. “So, Google Maps is a yellow page of the physical world, so you can’t really not show the huge strip of a restaurant.
These founders also have quick insights into how quickly consumer expectations are changing as AI improves. “We are becoming king in our world,” says Gold from Social Connector Gigi about ChatGpt users’ experiences. “We want the right answer right away. Expectations are rising. We need to build our products accordingly.”
