In a statement, Jackson said, “Jayapal’s disgusting comments justify an immediate apology. The heroic ice officer is simply at his job and enforces federal immigration laws with the utmost professionalism.”
“Dangerous smears by crazy leftists like Jayapal will radicalize supporters to attack and block federal law enforcement. Due to comments like Jayapal, attacks on ice agents are the ones that are not the same. 500% increase this year. And if Jayapal doesn’t stop at her smear, that number will be even higher,” Jackson added.
Jayapal said, “The confusing, cruel and outrageous thing is that we literally see ice agents. I think they are ice agents. They say they don’t have an identification. They wear masks. They wear regular clothes.
“I didn’t think that’s what I see here in America in a million years,” she added. “And I think I am an administration that requires apologies to US citizens who have been turned into legal, permanent residents, those with legal status across the country.
