Wisconsin Snow Park is facing Federal lawsuits It accused him of firing a Christian employee of posting biblical poems on his personal social media accounts.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Committee (EEOC) has filed a complaint against the Crystal Ridge Ski Area, formerly known as the venue for the summer event in Rock Snow Park, Winter Sports Park, and Franklin. Wisconsinon wednesday. Their complaint alleges that the park discriminated against a former employee who worked there from January 2, 2022 to June 12, 2023.

The EEOC complaint states that the employee did not identify his workplace or claim that he represents the employer’s views on social media accounts. His posts were not directed at Rock Snow Park employees and the park did not receive complaints about the post, the complaint alleges.

According to the lawsuit, the employee worked at the company for a year and a half before it was terminated.

The EEOC filed the suit after first attempting to reach a pre-litigation settlement, the complaint explains. The park has been accused of violating Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and bans employment. Discrimination based on religion.

The committee is asking the court to issue a permanent injunction restricting Crystal Ridge from engaging in “employment practices that discriminate against Title VII and based on religion.” The committee asks the court to order the park to implement new policies to ensure equal employment opportunities “regardless of religion.” The complaint also asks the employee to receive backpay and compensatory and punitive damages for the harm caused.

The committee is requesting a ju trial in the case.

“All employees have the right to make a living freely from discrimination based on their religious beliefs,” the EEOC said in a press release. “Employers must be aware of potential workplace harassment, but religious statements made outside of work that no one in the workplace refers or affects them do not constitute illegal harassment.”

Crystal Ridge Ski Area said Fox News Digital It had not yet provided a legal complaint, but refused the claim.

“First of all, as employers and members of our community, we want to make it clear that we treat every employee and customer with respect, regardless of who they are and what they believe,” Park said. “We expect all our employees to respect each other as well and to respect the customers here to serve us.”

“Secondly, I would like to clarify that the internal employment decisions that led to the EEOC lawsuit were not based on the employee’s religious beliefs. Rather, it was a business decision based on performance issues and policy violations.”
