Usyk’s team responds to Fury’s Wembley’s request. “We are focusing on Dubois.
Tyson Fury is screaming about the trilogy in Revenge and Wembley, but Team Usaik hasn’t taken the bait yet. Fury blasted the return date on Instagram on April 18, 2026, but Oleksandr Usyk’s camp kept it simple. Then maybe we will entertain your little London fantasy.
Sergey Lapin, who leads Usyk’s team and his promotional outfit “Ready to Fight,” revealed in a statement to ESPN that the focus will be on the battle for Dubois on July 19th. There’s nothing to distract. There are no dramas. There will be no premature announcements for the venue.
Lapin Ices the Trilogy Talk (for now): “We’re focused on making history.”
“The idea for a third fight with Tyson Fury has been at the table between the teams since the second match,” Lapin said. “And there was no doubt that along with the Gold Star Promotion, we could turn it into reality.”
Translation: It’s not off the table…but it’s not a priority either.
He continued. “Now, Olexandre Usaik and our team are fully focused on the upcoming battle with DuBois and achieving our historic goal of becoming a three-time uncontroversial world champion. Once this goal is achieved and the dust settles, it will open up to the next round.”
Why is Usyk’s camp not playing Fury’s games?
In other words, no, Tyson, you can’t set a schedule. Fury, of course, wants a third fight on his terms. In Britain, it claims to get a “fair cry.” The man who lost a fight at both points hopes to start over with a score on the home field. Classic.
But Usyk’s side is not following it. They have Dubois at Wembley first, but that’s a battle against the actual outcome. If Usyk wins again and becomes three uncontroversial champions, then we might see a trilogy. But if you think you’re reorganizing your plans for 2026 for Fury’s Instagram post, think about it again.
