Trump returns to Iowa and begins the celebration of the US 250 at the fairgrounds

But his suspension of holding a leadoff contest in the Republican presidential nomination race for half a century was around 2026, not 2028.
Trump will catch the July 4th Eve event at Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines and surround a series of celebrations to kick off the US 250. 250th anniversary of signing the Declaration of Independence.
Longtime Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufman told Fox News that it would not be surprising that the president would choose Iowa to begin celebrating American independence.

“We’ve always had special relationships with the president,” Kaufman told Fox News Digital after Trump said he had turned the battlefield for one-off general elections to the red state in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential elections.

Nicole Schlinger, a Republican consultant based in Iowa, said the president “chosen to kick off the US 250 at the best state fairgrounds in the country,” and “no surprise.”
“From the day his helicopter first landed in 2015, Trump had a special connection with Iowa. He, like the Iowans, is straight touring, hardworking and apologically proud of our country,” added Singinger. “Starting America’s 250th place in Iowa is a reminder that our path to our future runs through Heartland.”

Trump is familiar with the fair.
Presidential candidate Trump walked through the crowds at the famous State Fair in 2015 and 2023, hosting a massive rallies at the fairgrounds just before the Iowa Caucus in 2016, and again in October 2021.
Trump’s trip will also spark speculation around 2028.
The “Trump 2028” hat is available for $50 and a T-shirt read “Trump 2028 (Rewrite the Rules)” and is available for sale for $36 on the Trump organization’s website.
But the rules are very clear. Amendments to Article 22 of the US Constitution limit the president to two terms of office.

And after flirting for months by running his third term in the White House, Trump appears to have eliminated another campaign.
In an interview with NBC News in May, “Meet the Press,” he said, “I haven’t seen it,” despite hyping strong support at Maga World for the 2028 run for reelection.
“I will be the president for eight years,” Trump added. “I’ll be the president two terms. I’ve always thought it was very important.”

But Trump’s cheating in 2028 is no joke, and his drastic moves have kept him in the spotlight since the start of his second mission tour at the White House, avoiding Lambdak’s story, dampening his quick moves, and Republican Party I want to succeed the president.
The next GOP presidential nomination race is not underway until Trump is ready to share the spotlight. He recently said it was “too early” to start those discussions.

Kaufman pointed to Vance and said, “The Vice President has said many times that he certainly had an invitation.”
And Kaufman, who is working on an early 2028 trip to Iowa, emphasized, “Here it’s 24-7, 365 days a year. That’s exactly how we want it, and I think our people are ready to try again.”
