Founder Travis Kalanick, Uber Eyes Pony.AI’s US unit supporting potential deals

According to the New York Times, Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: Uber) is reportedly speaking to support its founder and former CEO Travis Kalanick. The debate is still in its early stages, little financial information is provided, and there is no clear definition of the exact role of Uber.

According to Bernstein analyst Nikhil Devnani, the deal was made by Uber Technologies, Inc. It appears that there is a possibility of equity investments from (NYSE: Uber) and other investors, and Kalanick is in a position to work with Uber’s network. Analysts said the “creative deal” could be spurred by regulatory issues that make Chinese autonomous vehicles “unacceptable in the US.”
