Borrussia Dortmund confirms that Gittens will move to Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund has confirmed that Jamie Gittens has completed his contract to join Chelsea.
Bundesliga Club has issued a statement on social media. This made it clear that “all parties agreed” and that details of the contract have been finalized.
The 20-year-old winger is expected to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
After spending some time as a youth player at Chelsea, Gitens was the target of Enzo Maresca for a while, but negotiations that Dortmund Sports director Sebastian Kahle called a “challenge” were lost.
However, all posts from X’s club on Thursday confirmed the deal. “Borusia Dortmund attacker Jamie Gittens is set to move to Chelsea FC. All parties agreed to this today in Fort Lauderdale, USA. Details of the contract have not yet been finalized.”

The Gittens moved from Manchester City to Dortmund in 2020 and made their Bundesliga debut two years later.
He scored eight goals and provided three assists in the league last year, with Kiel calling the fledgling forward “a good player.”
