Openai Chief Sam Altman feels “political homeless” in his message on July 4th

Openai Chief Sam Altman displayed his patriotism in a July 4 message on Friday, poses doubts on Democrats.
In X’s long post, Altman said he is proud to be an American as he has begun celebrating millions of weekends.
“I’m not a big fan of my identity, but I’m extremely proud to be an American,” he writes. “This is true every day, but especially today. I firmly believe that this is the greatest nation on the planet. The miracle of America is alone in world history.”

The tech giant then said he embraced “techno capitalism.” Capitalism’s. “One of them won’t work without the other,” he said.
“The world should become richer every year through science and technology, but everyone needs to be in the “up-elevator.” I think governments are usually doing worse jobs than the market, so we need to encourage a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship,” Altman said. “I also believe that education is extremely important to maintaining the edge of America. I believed this when I was 20, when I was 30. I’m 40 now and I still believe it.”
“The Democrats (sic) seemed to have reasonably aligned when I was 20, and when I was 30, I lost the plot and at this point I moved completely elsewhere,” he added. “So now I’m politically homeless. But that’s fine. I care much more about being an American than any political party.”

Without mentioning his name, the message appeared to refer to New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani, a self-identified democratic socialist.

“The American experiments have always been a hassle,” he said. “I’m looking forward to another great 250 years.”
