Ryan Garcia calls on Devin Haney for the White House fight. Haney fires during drug test
Ryan Garcia posted on social media Friday night, saying he wanted to fight Devin Haney in the White House. Haney immediately shot back, “Go back to your drug test after that. “
Garcia still wants a rematch
Surprisingly, Garcia (24-2, 20 Kos) is still interested in fighting Haney (32-0, 15 KOs), despite being defeated to coordinate his opponent Rolando “Rory” Romero. It was supposed to set up a rematch in October, but Kingley was beaten by Rory and did not play his role.
At this point, the rematch may not be worth it, especially if Haney was blown out of the water by WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. Devin is technically a favorite of the odds maker, but Norman Jr. has a great chance to knock him out.
Garcia is out of surgery after a 12-round unanimous decision defeat to Rory on May 2 at Times Square in New York City. Golden Boy promoter Oscar de la Hoya says “” that Ryan wants to strip off the rest of 2025.Straighten his heart And in comfort, “Sorry his life.”
If Garcia wants to fight a rematch with Haney in the next fight, Devin is fighting Brian Norman Jr. in November, so he has to take a break for the rest of the year. Assuming Devin is badly knocked out in that fight, he won’t be able to fight until the first half of next year. He is not planning to hurry back to fight Ryan in December after being stopped by Brian Jr.
Avenge Romero’s loss
Ryan should try to revenge his loss to Romero, as he would look bad if he didn’t at least try to show that the loss was a fluke. Garcia looks scary when he leaves such a loss.
Then go back to your drug test. https://t.co/atc5kbrajy
