Supermodel Christie Brinkley opens up about past marriages and regrets

Christy Linkley No one doesn’t know love.
The legendary supermodel, who has been married four times, admitted that she is “a fool for love” in a candid new interview New York Times. During her conversation with the outlet, she spoke in detail about her divorce and whether she is willing to open up again.
“I trust you so much,” she admitted when she asked what she had learned from the marriage. “I’m a love fool. That love does the job. Sometimes you need to rely on experts. I wish I could find a way to save some. I hope I’m not married to another person.”

Brinkley’s first husband was artist Jean François Araux. It was the water for two 21-year-olds in 1975. They divorced in 1981, and four years later she got married Billy Joel. Brinkley and Joel divorced in 1994, and that same year she married real estate developer Richard Taubman. She divorced him a year later, and a year later she married architect Peter Cook. She stayed with him in 2008 until their controversial divorce was finalized.
She told the New York Times: “I always believed in my soulmates. I thought I had four of them. I don’t know now. I had two soulmates along with Jean and Billy. Maybe I married Jean.

When asked, she said, “I am not loved, but I felt unloved. I have enough self-esteem to know that with the right arm I am not loved, and I loved my money more than I did.

Her first husband, Allaux, was the one who said she left for her “freedom.” She said with him it was “looking love” and that their marriage had been successful for years, but that “slowly break up.”
“I married too young. I began to feel like I regret being tied up and being tied up,” she admitted.

In an interview in April Today.comBrinkley explained that his relationship with Joel is the most difficult to write in her memoirs because they are still friends, but she said he gave him his blessing.
“He said, ‘Please say what you need to say,'” Brinkley said. “And I think it’s part of his healing, so I praise him for all of it. It takes a lot of courage.”

Regarding the ex, “loved my money more than I did,” Brinkley mentioned her third husband, Taubman. “Ricky was a bigger than life character who married me for my money,” she insisted. “Our relationship was complicated by the fact that I was pregnant and I wanted to make the right decision. The relationship came to my heels. Divorce from BillyI was devastated about it. ”
In “Uptown Girl,” she writes that after her son Jack was born, she had a session with therapist and chose to give her marriage another shot. She took Jack from New York, where she gave birth to a baby and returned home to Taubman, Colorado, where he claimed that when she arrived he asked her for money.

“That was when I knew this was neither love nor a real relationship. It was usership, manipulation and its worst emotional torture,” she wrote. “I booked a flight to New York.”
When she arrived she told her that Taubman called her and “I’m going to leave you and the baby” as her biological father did to her. After that call, she filed for divorce.
Finally, people who “love women younger than me” refer to cooking. There was a situation While married to Brinkley. “I was married to a stranger who had other lives. I had three children because I protected them from fallout and their lives were blown away. The divorce lasted for years. It was painful.”

Brinkley filed for divorce from Cook in 2006 after learning that he had an affair with a teenage assistant. In her memoirs, she called her relationship with Cook “one of the most painful experiences I have ever had.”

Brinkley is a mother of three: a daughter Alexarayshe shares with Joel, Sailor, and her son Jack, whom she shares with Taubman, but is later adopted by Cook.
The model confessed that what she regrets most was “Sitting with my husband with an open photo album and saying, ‘Look, do you remember this? Do you remember the kids?”

Despite all this, Brinkley admitted to the New York Times that she was still open to the idea of finding a partner.

“Everything I have gone through, all the pain, all the stupidity, I believe in love, so I will do it again,” she shared. “I think it’s sad. I don’t want to give up on the freedom I have now. It’s hard to meet people and it’s hard to trust. It’s a special person who wants to share my life. I made peace without it. I’ve done it for so many years without a man. I don’t need to make me happy.”
She added. “But I have Lots of happiness In me, I want to share it with the people I love. ”
