Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Nick Castellanos had some words with the fans after the team lost 9-6 Cincinnati Reds at Citizens Bank Park on Friday.
Just like the camera pans Phillies’ dugout After the final out, Castellanos was shown standing at the top step, gestured towards the crowd, screaming at the fans.
Jace Kaleicau, a producer at the Phillies who witnessed the interaction, said Castellanos is sticking to his second baseman, Bryson Stott.

Kaleikau said the fans “crossed multiple lines,” but cried out at Stott in a post to X.
Stott took part in the match in eight innings to replace Edmundo Sosa and grounded 2 bases. With the first out and two outs in the ninth, Stott came back to the bat and finished the game by jumping out to the Reds’ third baseman Noelvi Marte.
Stott struggled this season as the second baseman has a batting average of 0.236 with five home runs and a 35 RBI. Castellanos is one of the Phillies’ clubhouse leaders, as evident from the right fielder staying tightly with the 27-year-old Stott.

The Castellanos was a key bat in the lineup as the right fielder has an average of 0.278 batting with 11 home runs and 49 RBIs. But Castellanos is a good hitter, but he is a inferior defender in the right field.
The Phillies started off faster as they jumped for a 3-0 lead at the bottom of the first inning. The Phillies’ 3-0 lead disappeared quickly as the Reds scored six unanswered runs and were highlighted in three innings of five runs.
