Kelly Clarkson delays her residency debut in Las Vegas to “protect” her voice

Kelly Clarkson postponed her Las Vegas residence numbers before it began.

“Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – Las Vegas Residency” was announced in February, but was originally scheduled to kick off at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4th. There were 18 performances scheduled until November 15th.

People Magazine A few hours before she was supposed to appear on stage, the singer took her to Instagram and reported that she had announced that she would postpone the show to protect her voice.

“We’re open 24/7 and make studio sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with my incredible fans.” The 43-year-old wrote. “I am grateful that you are always showing up for me, and I am devastating that I have to postpone the opening at Caesars tonight and tomorrow.

“The preparation and rehearsals have hit my voice,” Clarkson shared. “I want the show to be perfect for y’all. I need to protect myself from doing serious damage, so I’m resting this weekend and next week so you can deliver what’s worthy of everything.

“The show is really incredible,” continued Clarkson. “The musicians and singers are outstanding and I want us all to start strong. We can’t wait to come back next weekend and show you everything we’ve been working on.”

Fox News Digital reached out “American Idol” graduates For comments.

Many fans immediately went to the comments section and expressed their disappointment. Others often expressed their wishes to the stars.

“I’m a huge fan and spent thousands of people from Boston on tickets and hotels and watched the show tomorrow on my 40th birthday,” one user wrote. “I really want you to be healthy, but canceling this late will have a huge financial impact on your loyal fans.”

“I was very excited about the opening night,” another shared. “We were all very excited to wait in line all day. I hope it feels better.”

“I hope I did this before 15 minutes before the door opened,” he wrote. “I hope it feels better.”

“We flew from New York for both weekend shows,” one added. “Not devastated, but your health must come first. Get well soon.”

People say Clarkson sold out at PH Live in Vegas in 2023 and 2024 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

“I lost a lot on my own,” she said, but she didn’t explain what she was referring to.

Her fans sympathized with her and said “Yes” in the background.

“It’s okay,” replied Clarkson, appearing to be shrugging her vulnerable comments.

The “Miss Independent” crooner reflects that during her five-year journey of the show, she, her crew and audience “creating a community and supporting each other through many ups and downs.”

“There are many ups and downs personally,” she stressed, and seemed to refer to her life.

“And along the way we found comfort to each other,” Clarkson said. “I am grateful to everyone who took part in this trip. It was a very cool time.”

Although Clarkson was away for nearly two weeks, various celebrities acted as guest hosts. She returned on March 18th and took her place the next day by another guest host. She returned to the March 20th episode. At the time, Clarkson representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Clarkson’s 1,000th episode came after she endured several turbulent years, Navigate a highly publicized divorce from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The divorce was resolved in 2022, with Clarkson receiving primary physical custody of his two children, River and Remington.
